The right choice depends on privacy, how much sun the window takes, the look you want and how the room is used. Here is how we usually advise, room by room.
Wave or lined decorative curtains for a soft, formal finish, often layered with a voile for daytime privacy. Zebra blinds suit lounges that need adjustable light without heavy fabric.
Blackout or lined curtains darken the room and add night-time privacy. A net or voile behind them keeps daytime privacy when the curtains are open.
Roller blinds and Venetian blinds work best: compact, easy to wipe down and simple to raise clear of counters and sinks.
Decorative curtains set the tone for evening entertaining, while a sheer layer softens the strong afternoon sun.
Roller or Venetian blinds cut glare on screens and let you fine-tune daylight through the working day.
Vertical blinds draw fully aside for access and rotate for privacy — the most practical option for a wide patio door.
Sunblock curtains or motorized blinds handle tall or wide spans, reducing heat and glare and removing the need to reach high fittings.
Commercial & Institutional
Commercial work asks for more than a good-looking window. Finches supplies and installs window treatments that look professional across an entire building, hold up to daily use, control glare for people working at screens and keep privacy where it is needed. Products are specified so every window in a floor, wing or development matches.

A roller blind is a single fabric panel that rolls up and down. A zebra blind has two layers with alternating sheer and opaque bands, so you can align them to let filtered light through or close them for privacy without fully raising the blind.
Vertical blinds and roller blinds are the usual choices. Both reduce screen glare, give privacy at desk level and look consistent across a floor of identical windows. Venetian blinds suit smaller offices and reception areas.
Blackout or lined curtains are best for bedrooms because they darken the room and add privacy at night. Many customers layer a voile or net behind them for daytime privacy.
Blinds give precise light control and a neat profile, which suits offices, kitchens and compact rooms. Curtains add softness, warmth and a more formal finish, which suits living rooms and bedrooms. Many rooms use both. We advise based on the room, the window and how it is used.
